Magnificent frenchman Electric Rescue has released tracks on some of the scene’s most influential labels. We are very proud to present his debut EP on Sabotage, which features two explosive tracks in his own unique style.

The title track of the EP oozes class, with a strong analog riff and detailed drum programming. Attention to detail is the name of the game, however the vibe here is definitely peak-time.

“Strobe” creeps up on you subliminally, with familiar siren effects coming at you from all angles, resulting in a crashing breakdown. Going for the more heads-down approach, brains are guaranteed to drip out of certain ears with this one.

Umek & Christian Cambas – On The Edge

Always trying to push the envelope further, Umek is no stranger to teaming up with other producers. After a string of immensely successful collaborations, the 1605 leader gets together with Greek producer Christian Cambas, who has been making some considerable Techno noise lately with releases on 1605, Sabotage, Rusted etc.

The result? A track featuring all of the toughness one would expect from a release of this caliber, yet combined with a highly unlikely guitar riff that the two producers could just not do without. Carefully maintaining an underground vibe while flirting with big rooms, this one is another notch in 1605′s proverbial belt.

Crashing Out of 2010 into 2011!

The last three months have literally been crazy for me and it all started with “Fireball”, which was my debut release on Umek‘s 1605 Music Therapy. That alone was exciting for me, but when it topped the Beatport Techno chart, I felt that things were really already taking a course of their own. This release was a special package in itself anyway, since the mighty Filthy Rich did the remix!

Luckily enough, I was able to back “Fireball” up with my next release, which appeared on the last 1605 V/A compilation, “Convention Of The Future Deaf”. That track was “Trigger Happy” and again, made it to the Top 5 of the Beatport Techno chart. While all this was happening though, I was busy in the studio preparing my next releases.

So the first track up was “On The Loose” on the very cool Rusted Records, which is really on fire now. It was great to be on yet another label which featured artists that I was really into such as Phunk Investigation, Alex Di Stefano, and many, many others. Again, Spektre took the original and tore it a new one with their massive remix.

The next track that I had ready was “The Robospanker” and I am very happy to announce that it will be released on Umek‘s forthcoming compilation on Toolroom. Choosing the title for this one was definitely a lot of fun.

During this time, I also did some studio collaborations, which was kind of new to me. So I cut my teeth in this department with a Christian Cambas vs. PHNTM track which we signed to Great Stuff and it’s called “Inferno”. PHNTM is a really cool guy and we had a great time putting the track together.

However, the biggest collaboration came out of nowhere, when I had the opportunity to make a track with none other than lord Umek. This one was wrapped up so quickly, I hadn’t even played it out yet and the artwork was already in my inbox! So, “On The Edge” will soon be released on 1605 and all I can say is, be careful of the guitar riff.

I only chose to do a handful of remixes, so I was excited to do one for my friend Spiros Kaloumenos‘ label Focus, and already in the works is a remix for Craft Music and one for Tech House man-of-the-moment, Marshall, owner of the notorious Hotfingers and 303 Lovers labels.

Again, while all this was happening, I found myself teaming up with Press & Play in running Sabotage Records whose roster includes Lutzenkirchen, Phunk Investigation, Axel Karakasis, Kiko and more artists who I am really into and am friends with. Actually, I had also released on Sabotage before I got involved in the label!

Speaking of Sabotage, my side-project the Saboteurs (me being one of the two Saboteurs, obviously), had been making some noise and we hit the Beatport Charts with our remix of Spektre‘s “Seq & Destroy” on their own Respekt imprint. This was my first proper studio collaboration and the sound is totally different to what I make alone. So in view of that, we also host our monthly Sabotage Radio Show where we literally play all across the Techno and Tech House board.

At some point I know that I will have to leave the studio and Sabotage HQ, so the summer is being lined up with some very cool events in Slovenia, Israel, Mexico and of course an array of Sabotage gigs alonside Umek, Len Faki, Spektre, Sasha Carassi and more.

Christian has studied and graduated from the Ivy leagues Berklee College of Music. Christian was also the first Greek producer to enter the prestigious DJ Magazine Top100 DJ Poll.

Mezmeric – Zeta Transform (Christian Cambas Remix) [Focus Digital]

Focus Digital, lead by Greek stalwart Spiros Kaloumenos, follows its dedicated Techno ethic, this time with “Zeta Transform” by Italian producer Mezmeric.

The EP opens with a remix from Christian Cambas, who has been causing some damage with releases on 1605, Rusted, etc. and shows the diversity of the label along the whole spectrum of the sound.

The original mix is an intense Techno workout, complete with futuristic bleeps and creeping noises, living up 100% to it’s scientific title.

Saimon whips up a straight forward, militant remix of Lucid Drema, blowing up everything in its way until there is nothing left standing. This complements the original mix perfectly, which sounds like a post-apocalyptic industrial workout on quaaludes.

Devilock Records is back with the freshest Techno troopers ready for battle!

Paul Gala has been making substantial waves in the scene, especially with his upcoming release on Umek’s 1605, and here he serves up a storm with his “Subversion” EP. The groove-laden title track makes proper use of an infectious housey stab, while things keep twisting and turning on “Subterfuge”, where the sharp synths lead to a paranoid frenzy.

On the “Subversion” remix, Anthony Castaldo -fresh off his releases on Respekt and CODE- takes the tweaks and squelches into more straightforward Techno territory, showing off his trademark style.

Greek producer Christian Cambas makes his 1605 debut with “Fireball”, and combined with the rumbling bass and pulsing stabs, a feel-good crossover vibe is all over this peaktime cut. On the flip, we have no other than man of the moment, Filthy Rich, who delivers a tougher than tough rendition of the original, with one foot planted firmly in House. Press Release

The fourth release of Sabotage comes from the Saboteurs, apparently an in-house act, for which no other information is disclosed.

Taking a slightly different turn from the previous releases, the original mix is a cavernous affair, laced with paranoid synths and a constantly building feel.

Fresh (no pun intended) off the heels of his 1605 release, French man of the moment Da Fresh serves the first remix which takes us into more techy territory with some tastefully added stabs.

On the other side of the spectrum, Glitter takes it up a notch to peak-time rave madness with his trademark sound.
